In 1927 Christine walked into a speakeasy in Detroit's Paradise Valley and heard the ghostly sounds of a piano resounding from a distant hall. Through a dimly lit archway she caught a glimpse of a mysterious pianist decked in a black tuxedo bent over a Steinway.  In a moment, he saw her, and the two came together in song.
